Worcester Memorial Auditorium - Kimball Pipe Organ Music - Worcester Massachusetts

The Worcester Memorial Auditorium is a stunning art deco building from 1933. It was built to honor veterans of World War I. It holds a Kimball pipe organ with 6,853 pipes. The lobby holds a mural by Leon Kroll.

In this video, first I drive on Highland Street and Harvard Street to show the outside. I did that in September 2021. Then I have a pair of photos of the front I took from Grove Street in 2014. Then you get three videos I took of the organ playing. These were taken during a special open house held by the Worcester Historical Society on August 21, 2016. Finally, there’s a slideshow of photos I took during that open house.

The Worcester Memorial Auditorium has been featured in a number of movies. American Hustle used the upper lobby of the Aud for the introduction of Jeremy Renner’s character Mayor Carmine Polito of New Jersey. Leon Kroll’s mural is prominently featured during that scene.

The Aud is also shown in Liam Neeson’s movie Honest Thief.

Let me know if you have any other info about the Aud I should add, or if any other movies were filmed here!
