The Worcester Memorial Auditorium was built way back in 1933 in an art deco style combined with massive classical columns along the front. A scene from American Hustle was filmed here! It has a stunning, massive pipe organ built into the left and right sides of the stage.
When the Aud was built it was the second largest such venue in the entire United States, behind only the Radio City Music Call in New York City.
These photos were taken during the August 21, 2016 Worcester Preservation Society tour. The Auditorium is currently unusued – hopes are to bring it back into life.
